Why This Board for Travel

The Wave is the only Exway board that legally qualifies for airline carry-on. The 99Wh module stays under TSA’s limit, meaning you can board a plane with your Wave in your bag and ride on arrival. The quick-swap battery system lets you carry a spare module for double the range on a single trip. The module also functions as a 10W power bank. At 6.9 kg the board fits in most large backpacks.

Configuration Guide

Six configurations are available. Hub 99Wh Air and Belt 99Wh Air are the lightest and most travel-focused. Hub/Belt 99Wh with Cloudwheel 105mm add rolling comfort on rough urban surfaces. Hub/Belt 180Wh Battery provide the full 20 km range. Hub drive is quieter with natural coasting feel; belt drive delivers more torque and sharper acceleration. All configurations share the same deck, trucks, and ESC 2.0 electronics.

Hub Drive vs Belt Drive

Hub motors are housed inside the wheels for quieter operation and more natural free-rolling feel. Belt drive systems connect via external motor, belt, and pulley for more torque and aggressive acceleration. Hub suits commuting; belt suits performance-oriented riders. The Wave’s Trist RKP truck system supports both configurations.

Safety

Always wear a certified helmet. At 38 km/h, wrist guards and knee pads are also recommended. Learn regenerative braking behaviour in an open environment before urban riding. Check local regulations for electric skateboard use before riding on public infrastructure.

Choosing the Right Exway Board

For travel and airline use, the Wave Series is the clear choice. For urban commuting with longer range, the Flex Series is better matched. For all-terrain use, the Atlas series. Our team can help you identify the right board for your specific riding environment and priorities. Contact us any time.
